The BESS System Engineer is responsible for delivering safe, efficient, and reliable energy storage solutions across various projects. The role involves consulting with operational groups, participating in the full lifecycle of BESS systems, and providing real-time support to improve design, execution, and operations.
Requirements
- Provide technical support in energy storage technologies to ensure successful project execution from conceptualization to operations.
- Develop technical and economic feasibility assessments to guide project decision-making and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Design and develop electrical requirements for multi-MW ESS to integrate various components into a standardized product.
- Assist in developing RFPs and GTPs to ensure comprehensive project documentation and procurement processes.
- Conduct in-depth design and sizing of BESS plants to ensure compliance with industry standards and optimal component selection.
- Specify electrical equipment and support the development of product manuals to facilitate installation, operations, and maintenance.
- Prepare system-level interface documentation to guide internal stakeholders in project implementation.
- Collaborate with vendors to evaluate and select system subcomponents to ensure quality and compatibility.
- Perform electrical studies to optimize system design and ensure safety and reliability.
- Review and suggest improvements for project designs to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Identify and explore new techniques and value-added services to drive innovation and cost-effectiveness.
- Assist in real-time incident response and investigation to ensure quick recovery and continuous improvement.
