Staff Engineer, Device Characterization

Micron Technology is seeking a Staff Engineer, Device Characterization to lead electrical characterization efforts for advanced memory technologies. The ideal candidate will have a great foundation in semiconductor physics, electrical characterization, and processing, and a deep understanding of NAND, DRAM, and emerging memory architectures.

Requirements

• Evaluate advanced semiconductor devices through testing, measurement, and data analysis.
• Develop methodologies and algorithms for characterization, modeling, and scalable standards.
• Automate data pipelines and analysis using Python, JSL, C/C++, and dashboard tools.
• Collaborate across teams to link device physics with system behavior and product outcomes.
• Architect test setups using state-of-the-art instrumentation; manage wafer probe and ATE flows.
• Conduct experiments, analyze device data, investigate root-causes, and present findings.
• Mentor peers, lead technical reviews, and serve as a subject-matter expert.
