MCS is hiring for Electrical/Low Voltage Apprentices for our new Orlando, FL office. The Electrical/Low Voltage Apprentice must demonstrate the ability to read, interpret and execute drawings, schematics, blueprints, and electrical code specifications for commercial electrical equipment installations.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent, Apprenticeship training preferred.
- Ability to obtain a Florida State JLA (Jessica Lunsford Act) Badge.
- Needs to have a detailed knowledge of electrical codes and standards.
- Must enroll in the IEC program. (Currently enrolled candidates preferred).
- Must be able to read and interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and blueprints.
- Ability to use basic hand tools, power tools, etc.
- Ability to read, speak and understand English.
- Knowledge of “Safe” working practices (ex. OSHA, Lock Out / Tag Out).
- Clean background with the ability to pass a required drug screening.
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including overtime if necessary.
- Must be able to climb ladders.
- Must possess own transportation, as most locations aren’t accessible with public transportation.
