Senior Technical Architect

MN Custom Homes is seeking a Senior Technical Architect to oversee the technical execution of luxury single-family residential infill projects. This role focuses on ensuring high standards of architectural excellence, detailed documentation, and construction coordination, with a focus on bridging design and construction realities. The ideal candidate possesses deep expertise in residential architecture and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Requirements

• Serves as main point of contact for the Architecture team on technical design and constructability questions.
• Establishes and maintains documentation standards and QA/QC protocols.
• Ensures technical accuracy, code compliance, and constructability of architectural drawings and specifications.
• Coordinates closely with consultants, contractors, and internal teams to align construction specifications with architectural intent.
• Works with architectural staff to resolve technical issues during design and construction phases.
• Identifies opportunities and drives continuous improvement related to document production quality, completeness, efficiency, standardization, and execution.
• Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
