We are looking for a Head of Financial Crime Advisory (Deputy MLRO) to join our team in Edinburgh/London. The successful candidate will have a strong background in financial crime threat prevention and advisory, with experience of operating as a Deputy MLRO. They will be able to operate in a fast-paced environment and have the ambition to hit the ground running in this role, with the opportunity to move into the full MLRO position as well as Head of Risk & Compliance for our UK business.
Requirements
- Strong experience in financial crime compliance with exposure to AML, CTF, fraud, and sanctions – ideally having worked as a Deputy MLRO before.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver assurance and advisory services in a regulated environment.
- Interest and aptitude for broader risk frameworks beyond financial crime.
- Skilled in stakeholder engagement and influencing at senior levels.
- Analytical mindset with experience in risk metrics and reporting.
- Collaborative and proactive approach to problem-solving
- A curious mindset and drive to explore how AI can make a real difference.
- Operated in the Payments or Emoney sector previously with an understanding of key areas of regulatory focus.
- Experience of working in a Risk & Compliance role outside of Financial Crime.
