Job Description
The Montana Department of Revenue is seeking an Accountant 1 or 2 to manage the department's accounting and fiscal systems and activities. The position involves revenue collection and distribution, providing professional support for agency operations, and preparing and monitoring budgets.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, finance, or a directly related field
- 0-2 years of job-related work experience for Accountant I, 2+ years for Accountant II
- Knowledge of governmental accounting and budgeting, fiscal management, and internal department systems
- Skills in research and analysis, accuracy and attention to detail, conflict resolution and customer service, Microsoft programs and other database applications, and written, verbal, and interpersonal communication
