Principal Human Factors Engineer

Monterey Technologies, Inc. seeks a Principal Human Factors Engineer to apply human-centered systems engineering to the design and development of complex systems. In this mid-level role, you will learn and apply human factors principles to assist in creating highly-effective solutions. You will support requirements evaluation, ensure compliance with standards, lead technical work, cultivate a user-centric culture, and interface with stakeholders.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Human Factors Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Psychology, or a related field strongly preferred.
• Master's and/or PhD Degree preferred.
• 10+ years of demonstrated experience required.
• A distinguished record of leadership, marked by the mentorship of junior, mid-level, and senior engineers.
• Comprehensive and advanced knowledge of HF principles, tools, techniques, and standards.
• A comprehensive understanding of the system engineering lifecycle, and especially HSI considerations.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex human factors findings and recommendations articulately to a wide range of audiences
