The Senior Executive / Assistant Manager (Data & Digital Tools) plays a key role in enhancing the unit’s operational efficiency through data analytics, automation, and the development of digital tools.
Requirements
- Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards and analytics reports to support the unit’s operations, strategic planning, and performance monitoring.
- Collect, clean, and analyze data from multiple systems (e.g., enrolment, finance, programme management) to generate actionable insights.
- Present analytical findings in a clear and visually compelling manner to support management decisions.
- Design and implement digital tools and workflow automations (e.g., Power Automate, SharePoint tools, scripts) to improve efficiency and reduce manual workload.
- Work closely with the Centre for IT Services (CITS) and relevant stakeholders to ensure integration, data security, and compliance with university systems and standards.
- Develop and maintain scripts and macros (e.g., in Python, VBA, or similar) to streamline reporting and data manipulation tasks.
- Collaborate with colleagues to identify process bottlenecks and propose data-enabled or digital solutions.
- Support the implementation and documentation of process improvements, ensuring sustainability and user adoption.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and digital transformation projects within the unit.
- Provide user training, documentation, and technical support to staff members on dashboards, automation tools, and digital workflows.
- Liaise with cross-functional teams such as CITS, Finance, and HR to align tools and reports with institutional requirements.
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical users to translate business needs into workable digital solutions.
