Summer@Country School Lifeguard

Summer@Country School offers a safe, self-contained environment perfect for participants to freely explore and enjoy their favorite activities with friends old and new.

Requirements

• Lead and supervise all aquatic activities
• Follow and enforce program and pool safety rules, policies, and procedures
• Organize and run swim tests at the start of each session, classify each swimmer and assign staff to tend to swimmers needing assistance
• Maintain equipment used in the pool area
• Be able to recognize victims in distress, activities which may put swimmers at risk and physical hazards which could injure swimmers or prevent you from adequately helping a swimmer in distress
• Act appropriately and immediately to ensure the safety of participants and staff in the event of an emergency
• Be responsible for first aid and rescue equipment at the pool area
• Attend all required meetings
• Be flexible with activities depending on the weather and be able to pivot to non-pool activities due to inclement weather
