Network Engineer

New Era Technology is seeking a motivated Network Engineer to support a global migration of Cisco hardware to Arista switches and routers. This is an 18-month contract position offering a supportive and growth-oriented environment with industry-certified experts. The role focuses on maintaining network configurations, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring compliance throughout the conversion.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in network engineering.
• Working knowledge of Arista EOS and associated tools.
• Basic experience with Cisco networking technologies (IOS/NX-OS).
• Understanding Layer 2/3 networking, VLANs, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), and network security principles.
• Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools (e.g., Wireshark, NetFlow, SNMP).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
• Experience with automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Python scripting).
• Experience in enterprise-scale network migrations or hardware refresh projects.
• Certifications such as CCNA, JNCIA, or Arista ACE are advantageous.
