Job Description
New Horizons Mental Health Services is seeking full-time Peer Recovery Supporters in Lancaster, Ohio. These support persons will provide on-going engagement and support to clients with substance abuse and/or mental health recovery, acting as equal partners in their recovery journey. Responsibilities include service coordination, tracking of appointments, outreach, documentation, and providing role modeling of recovery techniques.
Requirements
- Ohio Peer Recovery Supporter Certification
- Ohio driver's license
- Proof of automobile liability insurance
- High school degree or equivalent
- Willingness to disclose lived experience of recovery
- Good organizational skills
- Respect, compassion, warmth, and non-judgmental attitude toward clients
