Non QM / Jumbo Underwriter

Newfi Lending is seeking a Non-QM/Jumbo Underwriter to analyze residential mortgage loan applications, minimize risk, and ensure compliance with company and investor guidelines. This role involves reviewing collateral, bank statements, and other documents to ensure accurate and compliant lending decisions. The company is a large, privately-owned lender offering alternative loan programs and innovative lending solutions.

Requirements

• 3+ years current experience as an underwriter reviewing all facets of the credit file.
• 5+ years minimum prior underwriting experience.
• AUS experience required.
• Excellent analytic skills, attention to detail, and decision-making skills.
• Professional and effective interpersonal skills.
• Excellent level of oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work within time constraints.
• Intermediate level of computer skills and ability to function in a Windows environment.
• Ability to acquire detailed knowledge of departmental policies and procedures.
• Strong time management and self-motivated attitude.
