CSRR-2025-36 Environmental Specialist 3 (Internal Posting)

Under the general supervision of a supervisory official, takes the lead or may supervise, organize and assign technical or scientific work, including field and office studies, surveys, inspections or investigations associated with the enforcement of laws and/or regulations and environmental review and control work. Analyze complex owner & operational histories for sites requiring remediation and write the results including text and maps/figures. Provide research and litigation support for SRP cases where remediation is lacking and required.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in one of the Physical Sciences, Environmental Sciences/Studies, Chemical Sciences, Biological Sciences, Environmental Planning, Physical Geography or in Civil Engineering, Sanitary Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Mining Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Bio-resource Engineering.
• Three (3) years of experience in environmental control work including field investigations, inspection, and preparing reports on the environment or the preparation or review of Environmental Impact Statements.
• Appointees will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle, rather than employee mobility, is necessary to perform the essential duties of the position.
