Job Description
News UK is seeking a Web Engineer to join their team, which focuses on improving data collection and implementing a new data collection approach to record user and app behaviour. This is a high-profile project within a data-driven organization, requiring the ability to review, rewrite, and implement data integrations to match a new standard. The role involves deep dives into unfamiliar code bases and proposing/implementing effective solutions.
Requirements
- Proficiency in JavaScript (required)
- Experience with React.js, Next.js (required)
- Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles
- Understanding of architectural patterns: MVC, MVP, MVVM, MVI, VIPER
- Ability to read and understand legacy codebases
- Understanding of build systems and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with performance optimisation
- Experience with SSR, SSG, and CSR
- Experience with code migration and refactoring
- Knowledge of testing frameworks and debugging tools
- Familiarity with event tracking implementation
