Job Description
North Texas Municipal Water District (NTMWD) is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to join their Facilities Services operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating specialized heavy equipment and performing supervisory duties as needed.
Requirements
- Operates and monitors performance of heavy construction type equipment
- Performs routine preventive maintenance and minor repairs on equipment
- Monitors process operations as directed by supervisor
- Responsible for housekeeping in assigned units
- Evaluates quality of work performed by subordinate employees
- Cooperates with other departments to ensure work is done efficiently and correctly
- Observes safe work practices and ensures subordinate employees do the same
- Hauls heavy and oversized equipment to various job sites
- Participates in a rotational ‘ONCALL’ work status and works overtime as needed
