Nurse Practitioner

NorWest Community Health Centres is seeking a 1 FTE Nurse Practitioner to provide primary health care services with a strong emphasis on disease prevention, health promotion/education and empowerment. The position involves mobile outreach to social housing units and other designated areas, with a focus on populations who face barriers to accessing care.

Requirements

• BScN in nursing from a recognized University
• Certificate in the extended class from the CNO
• Thorough knowledge and proficiency in current nursing procedures, nursing assessment and physical assessment and treatment measures within the RN-EC scope of practice
• Ability to utilize technology to provide virtual care when appropriate for client care, education and meetings
• Experience in supporting individuals living with mental health and addiction challenges
• Awareness and sensitivity to socio-economic and cultural issues
• Valid driver's license, access to a vehicle and ability to travel to other service locations
