Physician

We are seeking a contract.50 FTE Physician to provide primary care to clients and their families within a community-based health centre. The position has a competitive salary, optional for the Health Care of Ontario Pension Plan and vacation pay in lieu of benefits.

Requirements

• Medical degree and family medicine residency from a recognized university
• CCFP Certification preferred
• License to practice from the Ontario College of Physicians and Surgeons
• License to practice from the Canadian College of Physicians
• Member of CMPA or appropriate liability insurance agency
• Broad knowledge, background and interest in the practice of family medicine
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and teaching skills
• Sensitivity to the needs of a multicultural community and diverse populations
• Experience in primary care settings (community-based preferred)
• Demonstrated commitment to and knowledge of community-based health care
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment
• Awareness and sensitivity to socio-economic and cultural issues
• Awareness of and sensitivity to health issues particularly within populations who face barriers to accessing care
