RN-RAAM/Primary Care

We are seeking a compassionate RN to work with our Primary Care team and in the Rapid Access Addiction Medicine (RAAM) Clinic. The RN will provide nursing services, including low-barrier addictions care to clients and their families, and assist in the delivery of primary care services to vulnerable populations.

Requirements

• RN with current College of Nurses of Ontario registration
• Minimum 3 years nursing experience, ideally in a combination of hospital, community and/or public health settings
• Addictions nursing experience required
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as required
• Strong organizational, communication and leadership skills
• Ability to work both independently, and collaboratively, within an interprofessional team environment
• Perform clinical activities according to the College of Nurses standards for nursing practice
• Knowledge and proficiency in current evidence based practices of primary care delivery, with an emphasis on health promotion and harm reduction
• Experience and flexibility to respond to fluctuating workload and changing environment
• Awareness of and sensitivity to health issues particularly within individuals who face barriers to accessing care
