Job Description
The Cardiac Monitor Technician monitors cardiac rhythms of patients, identifies abnormalities, and supports clinical staff. This role ensures timely recognition of cardiac rhythm changes for effective care delivery. Responsibilities include continuous monitoring, rhythm interpretation, accurate documentation, communication, and equipment maintenance.
Requirements
- Successful completion of the t2-day EKG interpretation class.
- Must obtain a passing score of 80% or higher on the EKG interpretation exam within 90 days of higher.
- Ability to troubleshoot telemetry equipment issues.
