Job Description
This position is for an Outpatient Coder II, responsible for accurately analyzing and coding complex outpatient records, including documentation and reimbursement. The role requires expertise in coding guidelines, co-morbidity conditions, and specific regulations. The candidate will also manage billing processes and maintain certification.
Requirements
- ICD-10-CM diagnostic and current procedural terminology procedural coding
- Knowledge of CPT and LCD coding
- Competent in electronic medical record systems
- UHDDS definitions
- 60% accuracy rate in ambulatory payment classification
- Certification in Certified Coding/Medical Coding
- Knowledge of ambulatory payment classification and medical necessity
- Effective communication with providers
- Compliance with all department requirements
- Customer service, teamwork, and safety
