The OHSU Department of Cell, Developmental & Cancer Biology is seeking a Research Assistant to contribute to research projects involving tumor behavior at the molecular and cellular level. This role involves cell culture, data analysis, mouse husbandry, and laboratory maintenance. The position is part of a collaborative research project with a focus on the novel population of circulating cells in murine cancer models and human clinical samples.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree (4 yr) with major in research or related field or 2yr degree (AA) + 3 yrs relevant experience.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency with Windows and PC applications (MS Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Ability to use tact and diplomacy.
- Comfortable with working in laboratory environments with interruptions and varying tasks.
- Experience with animal work is preferred.
