Principal Solution Consultant

AspenTech is looking for a Principal Solution Consultant with technical strength in Performance Engineering product suite to join their team in South Asia - India. The role will involve applying consultative skills in customer-facing situations to identify customer problems and understand their business and operational issues. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for cutting-edge technologies and be able to articulate high-level technical solutions to business problems.

Requirements

• B. Tech/ M. Tech/ PhD in Chemical Engineering
• ~10 years practical experience in consulting, technology, and/or industry
• Min 8 years’ hands on experience in process simulation tools like Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus, PetroSim, PRO-II, ChemCAD, UniSim, Aspen Exchanger Design & Rating, HTRI, Optiplant and Capital Cost Estimation
• Deep Domain expertise in Refining, Upstream Oil &Gas, Chemicals, Petrochemicals and Polymer Industries
• Strong business acumen
• Ability to collaborate with cross functional teams and manage multiple priorities under pressure
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal in English language
• Flexibility to travel 50-60% of time
• Experience with Refining, Upstream Oil&Gas, Chemicals, Petrochemicals would be preferred
• Industry experience from operating companies would be preferred
• Strong knowledge of fundamentals of Chemical Engineering, process simulation
• Familiar with Digital Twin Projects Implementation & Sustainability projects
• Experience in AI/ML, Data Modeling would be preferred
• Experience in modeling & simulation of Refinery and Chemicals Process Units using Aspen HYSYS and Aspen Plus
