Job Description
OpenAI is seeking Software Engineers to join their Applied Infrastructure organization, focusing on the Database Systems and Online Storage teams. This role involves scaling, hardening, and improving the reliability, performance, and security of AI systems, with a focus on rapid iteration and collaboration with other teams. Engineers will contribute to incident response, improvement of internal tooling, and proactive system resilience.
Requirements
- 4+ years of relevant industry experience
- 2+ years leading large scale projects
- Deep understanding of distributed systems principles
- Strong proficiency in cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure) and IaC tools
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Kubernetes)
- Experience with observability tools (Datadog, Prometheus)
- Experience with microservices architecture
- Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments
