Job Description
Opterus Research and Development is a fast-growing provider of critical spacecraft components and deployable structures. As a Mechatronics Engineer II, you will play a key role in developing electro-mechanical systems that enable deployment, actuation, and control of advanced space structures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Aerospace Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of relevant engineering experience
- Proficiency in 3D CAD (e.g., SolidWorks) and familiarity with electrical CAD tools
- Hands-on experience designing and specifying custom mechanical parts and subassemblies
- Hands-on experience with motion control, sensors, actuators, and embedded systems
- Experience with rapid prototyping, bench testing, and data acquisition systems
- Familiarity with programming and automation (Python, LabVIEW, MATLAB, C/C++)
