Data Center Technician

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is seeking a Data Center Technician to provide 24/7 support to its data centers. This full-time role involves hardware installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and documentation of systems. The position requires strong communication skills and a commitment to learning new technologies within an IT environment.

Requirements

• Knowledge of server/storage/network hardware.
• Strong interest in learning new DC concepts.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Shift schedule: 4 days/week, 10-hour shifts.
• 3+ years of IT experience.
• Experience solving problems on servers, networking devices and IT equipment.
• Experience raising issues to Sr. onsite staff and management.
• IT Hardware Concepts knowledge (RAID, SAN, SCIS, Linux/Unix, GRUB) & experience with networking equipment.
• Experience with Tier 1 support and ticketing system experience.
• 3+ years of experience
• Experience on-call shifts.
• Experience troubleshooting & resolving Telco connectivity issues.
