Electrical & Controls Engineering Intern

JLG, an Oshkosh company, is seeking an Electrical & Controls Engineering Intern to assist in the construction, installation, operation, maintenance, and testing of electric over hydraulic control systems. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering concepts and will be able to work in an office-based administrative environment and field or production environments.

Requirements

• Understand, follow, and enforce shop safety practices and policy.
• Maintain effective communication with internal and external customers.
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Ability to build and install wire harnesses.
• Ability to follow written test procedures.
• Ability to learn and operate a Digital-Multimeter (DMM)
• Troubleshoot electrical controls related process and component issues.
• Instrumentation and controls debugging
• Start-up and qualification of control systems on new equipment
• Execute controls projects under the guidance of engineering
