Job Description
Otter.ai is seeking an experienced Staff Software Engineer, Backend (Infrastructure) to develop, deploy, and manage scalable web services and infrastructure that empower AI-driven products and initiatives. The role involves collaboration with AI researchers, product managers, and technologists to deliver innovative solutions and transform experiences across diverse industries. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Python and experience with technologies like Django, MySQL, and AWS.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in developing and architecting large-scale web services
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field
- Strong expertise in databases, distributed systems, backend performance optimization, and familiarity with backend requirements for machine learning infrastructure
- Expert proficiency in Python or Go, Java, or C++
- Extensive experience with web frameworks like Django
- Experience deploying and managing services on AWS
