The Primary responsibility for this position is teaching Social Work undergraduate students. The instructor must be knowledgeable in the discipline and must provide high quality instruction.
Requirements
- Classroom and/or alternative delivery (e.g. online) instruction in the discipline
- Knowledgeable in the discipline and provide high quality instruction
- Demonstrated knowledge of appropriate practices for teaching different learning styles

- Computer use, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and/or other required programs, Blackboard, and Owens e-mail
- Integrate a variety of methodologies in order to facilitate student learning
- Understand the needs of community college students
- Manage a classroom, including organizing and presenting material, designing lessons and activities that will facilitate student learning, and monitoring student behavior and performance
- Follow instructions and meet deadlines
- Recognize students’ strengths and weaknesses in the discipline and provide feedback to students is such a way as to facilitate their learning
- Evaluate student work fairly using Department guidelines
