Math Teacher

The position of Math Teacher is open in Tanzania. As a teacher, you will be responsible for teaching algebra to advanced calculus to large classrooms of students ages 12 to 20. You will also strengthen the capacity of local teachers to teach math subjects. Volunteers will live in rural communities and will be trained on the local curriculum, lesson planning techniques, classroom management practices, and national assessments.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education with a concentration in math
• Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science degree in any discipline with secondary certification in math
• Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science degree in Math, Engineering, or Computer Science
• Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science degree in any discipline with a minor or equivalent (15 semester/22 quarter hours) in math
