Job Description
Peraton is seeking a Facilities Mechanical (HVAC) Design Engineer to join their team in Monrovia, California. The role supports the Deep Space Network (DSN) program with JPL and NASA, focusing on designing and maintaining HVAC systems for various space-related applications. This includes load calculations, building engineered systems, and troubleshooting complex equipment.
Requirements
- Oversee all aspects of design, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and installation of HVAC equipment
- Perform heating and cooling load calculations, heat transfer, pressure calculations, ductwork, pipe sizing, and any other calculations required to support the mechanical design and equipment sizing/selection
- Provide engineering support to facilities systems; driving upgrade projects from concept to completion
- Troubleshoot equipment utilizing mechanical drawings and electronic schematics
