Job Description
Partners In Health (PIH) is seeking a skilled and motivated Biomedical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Sierra Leone. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, problem-solving abilities, and a passion for advancing healthcare through engineering. The role involves equipment maintenance, repair, and installation, as well as providing training and support to medical staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- 8+ years of hands-on biomedical engineering experience
- Minimum of five (5) years of hands-on biomedical engineering operations and maintenance experience in healthcare facilities in a limited-resource context
- Global South experience required, experience in rural healthcare facilities in sub-Saharan Africa strongly preferred
- Experience directly managing a team of biomedical technicians/apprentices
- Extensive hands-on experience with installation, operation, and maintenance of medical gas systems
- Strong knowledge of medical equipment life cycle management
- Demonstrated familiarity with regulatory standards and guidelines applicable to medical devices and medical gas systems
