C Lineman - Underground (Halifax EMC)

The Class C Lineman Underground is an entry-level position in the construction, maintenance, and repair of electrical underground distribution systems. This position involves installing transformers, lightings, and other electrical components, as well as maintaining company vehicles and equipment. The position may require travel to another state and often involves working with energized high voltage systems.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of minimum field experience
• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) – a preference
• Ability to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License within 60 days of employment
• Ability to travel long distances
• Ability to lift in excess of 50 lbs
• Willingness to work overtime
• Willingness to work in inclement weather
• Ability to follow Company safety rules
