Equipment Operator - Overhead (Escelsior EMC)

Pike is seeking an entry-level Equipment Operator to work at various locations for the construction, maintenance, and repair of electrical overhead distribution systems. This role involves wiring, setting poles, installing equipment, and maintaining company assets. The position often involves traveling to other states. It is expected that the employee will be physically demanding and require the ability to follow safety protocols.

Requirements

• Stringing overhead wire.
• Setting poles and anchors.
• Installing transformers, lightening arrestors, cutouts, crossarms, insulators, switches, and switchgear.
• Replacing fuses in transformers.
• Cleaning and maintaining company vehicles, equipment, and tools.
• Performing basic bucket rescue/escape.
• Understand basic rigging, hand lines, and lineman knot tying.
• Understand the basic concepts of equipment set up and grounding.
• Capable of working at heights and/or confined spaces.
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (preferred).
