The NDT/Heat Treat Technician assumes primary responsibility in administration for all non-destructive testing. As a Heat treatment technician, you will be responsible for setting up and operating heating equipment, following established protocols. You will work with heated workpiece control, maintaining a specific temperature for a set period, and tempering or cooling the workpieces at a certain rate to achieve required material strength.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Complete NDT training classes (NDT Minimum Level I, prefer Level II)
- Previous experience in manufacturing or aerospace environments is a plus but not required
- Basic mechanical aptitude or experience with industrial equipment is desirable
- Ability to follow detailed work instructions and blueprints
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to use basic hand tools, measuring instruments, and safety equipment
- Ability to effectively utilize language: speaking, reading, and writing
- Effective verbal and interpersonal communication skills
