Job Description
Placer.ai, a rapidly growing tech company focused on unlocking insights from market data, is seeking a Backend Engineer to join their Foundation Group. This role involves building and scaling microservices in the cloud using Python, SQL, and NoSQL databases. The ideal candidate will focus on designing, developing, and optimizing systems for large-scale data processing and reliable performance. The position involves working in a fast-paced environment to deliver high-performance solutions.
Requirements
- BSc degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience as a backend engineer
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Go
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation
- Experience with database systems (SQL and NoSQL) and data pipeline development
- Experience Implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins, Argo or similar
- Strong coding skills and a "get-things-done" approach
