Positive Impact Health Centers is a growing company seeking a Bilingual Clinic Office Associate to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for serving patients, scheduling appointments, maintaining records and accounts, and providing a welcoming environment for patients.
Requirements
- Answers multiple phone lines in a professional and courteous manner.
- Check in patients and complete patient registration.
- Manage patient flow by providing timely check-in procedures upon arrival.
- Instruct new patients in completion of medical information forms.
- Maintains accuracy of patient demographic and insurance information.
- Scans insurance cards and driver’s license for all new patients.
- Collects copays, deductibles, coinsurance and past due balances prior to the patient being seen.
- Reconciles daily receipts and money collected with end of day reports to confirm money balances and then prepares individual deposit.
- Protects patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality per HIPPA guidelines.
- Performs medical coding and billing tasks for non-insurance claims as assigned by manager.
- Contacts patient on a monthly basis regarding past due balance.
