Field Application Engineer

Power Integrations is seeking a talented Field Application Engineer to join their North American Sales team in the Western US. This role focuses on providing technical guidance to customers, optimizing product implementation, and demonstrating the benefits of Power Integrations' high-voltage, analog ICs. Candidates should have strong communication, analytical, and technical skills, and the ability to perform detailed bench work.

Requirements

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to interface with customers on the telephone
• Strong analytical and laboratory skills
• BSEE or equivalent; MSEE or equivalent preferred
• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a sales engineering role
• AC-DC Power Conversion design experience
• Demonstrated magnetics design experience
• Experience in one of the following end markets: UPS, Solid State Lighting, Metering, Appliances, Cell phone chargers, Industrial controls, Notebook or PC Power Supplies
• Working knowledge of EMI and Safety standards
• Willingness to travel up to 40% within region
• Prior experience as an FAE for semiconductor products used in power conversion applications preferred
• Working knowledge of EMI and Safety standards
