Public Relations Manager

PragerU is seeking a Public Relations Manager to help strengthen and grow their PR efforts. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in PR, communications, and a background in branding/integrative marketing. They will oversee external PR team, develop and execute PR/media strategy, manage media bookings and communication, and develop brand messaging communications.

Requirements

• 10+ years of overall experience in PR, communications with a preference for experience in DC and New York markets
• STRONG knowledge of how PR works, and a background in branding/integrative marketing
• Experience with media relations and outreach/communication with journalists especially ones in mainstream outlets and in education spheres of influence.
• Meticulous writing skills
• Creativity
• Ability to problem solve with the best of them
• Capacity to manage-up, and assist vice president and other executives with what they need to pursue the organization’s mission
• Can collaborate with related teams, like social media, to amplify communications work
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, with multiple simultaneous projects
