Primero is looking for a Process Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Process/Chemical/Metallurgical Engineering and experience in mineral processing, metal refining, or related industries. The position involves process engineering calculations, mass balances, and development of flow-sheets and P&IDs.
Requirements
- Process/Chemical/Metallurgical Engineering Degree
- Registered (or candidate for) P. Eng license with the OIQ or equivalent
- 4 to 8 years’ experience in engineering, operation and/or commissioning works
- Experience in the mineral processing, metal refining, or related industries;
- High level of analytical ability used to solve complex problems;
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Effective collaboration with internal teams
- Solid understanding of HSE principles and applicable codes
- Flexibility and resourcefulness to manage workload fluctuations
- Proficient in reading specs, schematics, and engineering drawings
- Excellent communication skills
- Committed to delivering quality work on schedule and providing support as needed
