Athletic Trainer

Professional Physical Therapy is seeking a Certified Athletic Trainer to serve student athletes in Northeast New York. The ATC will provide emergency/continued care, conduct initial assessments, and collaborate with the team physician/referrals. They must demonstrate competence in preventing, assessing, treating, and reconditioning athlete injuries.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree with major coursework in kinesiology/biomechanics, exercise physiology, infection control, professionalism and ethics, and athletic injuries.
• BOC certification required
• Current state licensure
• Knowledge of athletic injuries, prevention, care, treatment, first aid methods, and CPR/AED certification
• Effective communication skills with coaches, athletes, parents, patients, and staff
• Cooperative and effective interpersonal skills
