Job Description
We are looking for a Director of Data to manage a team of analytics engineers and drive all data-related initiatives at Public. The Director will be responsible for managing our data pipeline, modeling data, and implementing data best practices. The role reports directly to the Head of Strategic Finance.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in data roles such as Data Analyst, Analytics Engineer, or Data Science
- 2+ years in people management and scaling teams
- Exceptional technical domain knowledge in SQL and one additional programming language
- Ability to collect required data from internal and external systems, design data storage structures, and build automated data pipelines
- Strong understanding of data modeling principles and modern data platforms
- Ability to push the boundaries of analytical insights with modern data stacks
- Exceptional communication skills, high EQ, low ego, and the ability to manage multiple projects across stakeholders
