Job Description
The PHI Food Bank Specialist will conduct outreach to connect clients with the public health initiatives. Responsibilities include direct client services, assessment of eligibility, nutritional supplement provision, and referral for physical activity and nutrition education. This full-time, on-site position requires flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, meeting the needs of a target population and working with sensitivity to cultural, ethnic, and sexual diversity. Compliance with PRCC’s standards is essential.
Requirements
- Playing a key role in the recruitment of clients for the food bank program.
- Providing pre-screening for eligibility and application assistance to clients.
- Refer clients to appropriate support services.
- Maintaining accurate food inventory.
- Providing assistance in program promotion.
- Educating potential clients on health and wellness.
- Scheduling and conducting educational sessions.
