Maintenance Technician

Perform a variety of repair and maintenance duties on building structures and systems, respond to and prioritize work orders, and troubleshoot to diagnose problems and determine repair or maintenance needs. Requirements

• High school diploma/GED
• 3+ years of general maintenance work experience
• Proficiency in one or more of the following: basic plumbing, carpentry, electricity, painting, plastering and locksmith fields
• Mechanical aptitude and leadership skills helpful
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics and written and verbal instructions. Perform basic math functions
• Ability to lift and move up to 60 pounds, climb ladders, and stand, walk or stoop extensively
• Ability to work effectively with individuals from different viewpoints and backgrounds
• A valid US or Canadian drivers’ license
• Familiarity with University policies regarding building maintenance and security preferred
