Job Description
Rain is a rapidly growing fintech company seeking a Senior Application Security Engineer. This role focuses on securing cloud-native applications and platforms, working collaboratively with engineering and development, and contributing to improved security posture. The position requires technical expertise and proactive approach to risk management.
Requirements
- Fluent English skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills
- 3–5+ years of experience in application security, penetration testing, or secure code development
- Hands-on experience with SAST, DAST, and SCA tools
- Deep understanding of web, mobile, and API vulnerabilities
- Proficiency in at least one backend language (Go, Python, Node.js) and front-ends (React/React Native)
- Familiarity with secure architecture of microservices, event-driven systems, and REST APIs
- Solid knowledge of containerization and Kubernetes security fundamentals
- Understanding of cloud security (AWS) and IAM principles
- Comfortable with Agile methodologies
- Software supply chain security (e.g., SBOM)
