Staff Chemical Engineer, Battery Recycling R&D

Redwood Materials is seeking a Staff Chemical Engineer to lead cutting-edge applied research for the development of processes and projects across the business and locations. The R&D chemical engineering team has three main functions: providing technical support, developing new processes, and researching future challenges in the recycling industry.

Requirements

• Leading and participating in research and development to meet strategic objectives
• Identifying and driving R&D to meet short-term business needs and address future trends
• Linking R&D with commercial scale equipment and process development
• Leading and participating in cross-functional teams to develop and implement new process concepts
• Flowsheet conceptualization and development
• Working closely with R&D development technicians
• Supporting laboratory, pilot, and commercial scale plant implementation and installation assistance
• Supporting laboratory, pilot, and commercial scale commissioning and ramp-up
