Job Description
The Instrument Processing Technician (IPT) at HealthPartners provides meticulous sterilization, cleaning, assembly, and handling of medical instruments. This role involves prioritizing work based on Operating Room demand, maintaining sterility, and ensuring proper instrument handling according to established procedures. The position requires attention to detail and a strong understanding of sterile techniques.
Requirements
- High school diploma/equivalent
- Completion of an associate degree program or higher
- Enrollment in an associate degree program or higher with completion of clinical internship in sterile processing
- Successful completion of sterilization, decontamination, and instrumentation competencies
