Senior Director, Employee and Labor Relations

HealthPartners is seeking a Senior Director of Employee and Labor Relations to support the Organization. This role is a key member of the Human Resources Executive Leadership team and reports to a Chief People Officer. The Director will focus on developing and operationalizing the systemwide strategy for employee and labor relations, leading a team of five HR professionals, and aligning strategies with both union and non-union workforces. Success requires a strategic mindset, strong relationship-building skills, and influence across all levels.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Labor Relations, or related field
• 13 years of progressive HR experience in labor relations and employee relations
• 7 years of leadership experience leading teams and driving strategic initiatives
• Experience leading union negotiations and managing labor risk
• Deep knowledge of labor law and dispute resolution mechanisms
• Proven leadership skills and ability to build teams
• Expertise in leading organization-wide HR COEs
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strategic thinking with analytical mindset
• Impactful leadership with executive presence
