Job Description
Relativity Space is building rockets to serve customers and is seeking a Senior Avionics Mechanical Design Engineer to contribute to the complete lifecycle of Terran R. This role involves designing, building, testing, and operating avionics systems, collaborating with various engineering teams, and working in a fast-paced environment. The position offers ownership of components for flying and impactful contributions to the product's development.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a full cycle mechanical design engineering role
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or related field
- Experience with 3D computer-aided design (CAD) software
- Experience with structural and thermal analysis
- Demonstrated project ownership and accountability
- Demonstrated knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
