Job Description
The Scientist will be responsible for formula development and R&D project executions for Rodan + Fields brand products, ensuring product efficacy, aesthetic, and cost requirements are met. They will also troubleshoot formula and manufacturing issues, collaborate with external partners, and drive skin care innovation.
Requirements
- Formulate rinse-off, leave-on, OTC and/or Cosmetic class products in various product forms
- Drive Rodan + Fields skin care innovation by creating viable and reproducible skin and/or hair care formulations
- Interface with Product Development, Marketing, Regulatory, Quality, Supply Chain and external Formulation/CMO partners
- Manage timeline executions with limited supervision
- Apply understanding of skin physiology, technologies and ingredients for maximum efficacy, safety in-use and aesthetic appeal
- Proven ability to design and execute creative/exploratory formulation projects
- Understands global regulatory requirements, follows and meets Rodan + Fields brand values and ingredient policies
- Ability to critically review/assess ingredient and/or product safety and efficacy study data
