Job Description
The Compressor Mechanic will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair compressors and engines to ensure equipment functionality in the field. This role involves diagnosing issues, rebuilding, and performing mechanical inspections, as well as adhering to safety guidelines and emergency response protocols.
Requirements
- Repair and Maintenance: Overhaul and maintain compressors (250-1200 HP).
- Diagnosis: Independently diagnose engine/compressor failures.
- Technical Skills: Utilize intermediate computer skills (Caterpillar, Internet Explorer, Outlook).
- Rebuilds/Overhauls: Lead comprehensive rebuilds & overhauls of compressors.
- Troubleshooting: Address electrical systems, controls, and unit control panels.
- Commissioning: Conduct start-up inspections.
- Mechanical Inspection: Perform mechanical inspections with micrometers and electronic diagnostic equipment.
- Emergency Response: Respond to and repair issues.
